file-not-used (MOD002)

A data file is not referenced in the manifest.

What it does

Reports .xml and .csv files directly in a data folder of the module (data, demo, report, security, views, wizard… and their plural or singular forms) that the manifest does not list.

Why is this bad?

Odoo only loads the files the manifest lists: a view, rule or record in an unlisted file silently does nothing. Add it to the manifest, or remove it.

A file the module loads itself (from a post_init_hook, say) can be listed under the manifest key "oca_data_manual".
