po-duplicate-message-definition (PO005)

The same msgid is translated more than once.

What it does

Reports msgids that appear in more than one entry of a file. Files in an i18n_extra folder are skipped.

Why is this bad?

Odoo exports translations by msgid and keeps only one of them, so one of the translations is lost on the next export. Use the i18n_extra folder for translations that must differ.

Fix safety

Safe when the duplicates are identical apart from their references: they are merged into the first one. Duplicates with different translations need a human decision.
