xml-redundant-module-name (XML008)

A record id repeats the name of its own module.

What it does

Reports id="module.name" in module module’s own records.

Why is this bad?

The prefix is implied, and it breaks when the module is renamed.

Example

<record id="acme_sale.view_order_form" model="ir.ui.view">

Use instead:

<record id="view_order_form" model="ir.ui.view">

Fix safety

Safe: the prefix is removed; the XML id stays the same.
