super-method-mismatch (W8164)#

A method calls super() on a different method.

What it does#

Reports super().other() inside a method that is not other. Methods with queue or cache in their name are skipped.

Why is this bad?#

It is usually a copy-paste error: the override skips its own parent method and calls another one instead.

Example#

def write(self, vals):
    return super().create(vals)
